Trucks That Are Worth Waiting For

Looking to buy a new truck? You may want to consider waiting, since vehicle manufacturers are prepping some really exciting pickups, and they are all slated to be launched in the coming years. Here are a few trucks that are worth waiting for.

Ford F-150 Electric

Ford is expected to launch an all-electric F-150 to the market in 2021 (at least, we are hoping). The electric model is likely to offer great performance and have a towing capacity of around 10,000 points, and a driving range of over 200 miles.

GMC Hummer EV

We don’t know exactly when the electric variant of the Hummer will be launched by GMC. However, we expect the model to be a pickup and make 1,000 horsepower. While these are all just assumptions, all we know for certain is that the company has called the model a “truck” in its announcement.

Hyundai Santa Cruz

The Santa Cruz is Hyundai’s much-awaited pickup truck offering. While the concept was originally revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in 2015, it is expected to reach production in the next few years. The Santa Cruz is expected to have a unibody chassis, and it is also likely that the vehicle will favor payload capacity and fuel efficiency over towing capabilities and power.

Nissan Frontier

Rumors suggest the Nissan Frontier will look more like the latest variant of the Titan. The sales of the truck are expected to begin in early 2021, and it will reportedly have better fuel-efficiency than the current model.

Ram Rebel TRX

Expected to debut in the 2021 model year, the Ram Rebel TRX is expected to give the Ford F-150 Raptor stiff competition. Expect the pickup to come designed with the 707-horsepower supercharged V8.

Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cyber Truck was first showcased in November 2019, but the version presented on-stage required many modifications to be road-legal. The delivery of the production version is expected to start in late 2021, and we expect the dual- and tri-motor variants to hit the auto market first. The single-motor variant, on the other hand, is likely to only be launched in 2022. The price for the single-motor model is expected to start at $39,000, and the tri-motor model at $69,900.
